"... It wasn't about sales, money, or fame. It was the simply for the pure joy of playing music, and I personally think that our music was what kept us together over the years,"
Watanabe Rui
drummer and leader of fade
Fade has been among of my playlist for months, after my first encounter to Japanese alternative rock bands such as Rize and Pay Money to My Pain. I was a 'silent listener' and still is. I never mentioned them at twitter, I never tag them at Facebook, I never have myself registered as an official fans in their fanclub, even I never see their gig live. But it didn't change me as their fans.
It was all started when I saw Yellow Fried Chickenz through YouTube. I was like... 'what the hell is this white guy doing?' yet he impressed me a lot lol. Then I googled him and found a fact that he was a normal singer named Jon Underdown, under the band called 'fade'. Better Scared was the first song I listened back then. And because of their 'western style' music, I instantly hooked up. Numerous songs such as 'It Was You', 'Face', 'She', and 'Filter' has been the-songs-that-you-will-played-over-and-over-again.
Thanks to Gackt (I think), fade was becoming bigger and bigger and bigger. They put more shows, they gave more attention, and so on. Great, I think! until one day ....
... One day, I checked my FB account as usual and caught their important announcement : they take indefinite break. Indefinite break was definitely a break up, man... But I kept suggesting myself that they are only 'hiatus'. I think 'hiatus' is more suitable word instead of 'break' or even 'disband'. Sad? You know the answer well. I will always support them tbh.. All my love for fade.
This is April aight?
Ugh, I (actually) hope this announcement was a trolling 'April Fools'
Cause nothing lasts for good
So you may say to me
But I will make this last for you, so forever
embrace everything that you feel now
embrace everything that you feel now
One day I will see your gig, Fade!!!
PS. I have to make a fade fanart real soon :)
Sorry for my messy english
